Today we submitted F1 Mobile 2010 to Apple. Below is a description of the app. We are working on some demos and the official website which will be up soon. We will post when they are ready.
We have just submitted Ratio Analysis 1.2 to Apple. This is the first update of the app and includes some nice improvements. This user interface is now much better visually, particularly the calculation screens. We have also done some minor bug fixing and some major performance enhancing. The app performs much, much better now and is very solid. We also added a ratio requested by a customer: Compound Annual Growth Rate. Calculating it works exactly how you are used to for the other ratios. Below is a list of the updates and some screenshots:
- Improved user interface
- Bug fixes
- Performance fixes
- Added Compound Anual Growth Rate
- New icon
I just wanted to do a short post today on the price changes we made the other day in case not everybody saw our post on twitter. I won’t go over all the price changes because we have made changes to almost all our apps, but the most important changes are:
- F1 Mobile Lite is FREE again. We are able to do this because Apple now allows in-app purchase in free apps. F1 Mobile Lite has many of the pro features and is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t especially now that it is free again.
- Tapit is not also free. We haven’t paid much attention to this app in a while but we are working on an update and want to make it much better very soon.
Search for HotRod Software in iTunes to see all our apps and their new prices.
That’s right, F1 Mobile Lite 2.5 is finally approved. We submitted this update to Apple about 2.5 months ago assuming that it would be available in a few weeks, so apologies for making you wait so long. In case you have forgotten here is a run down of everything this new version offers:
This version will bring some of the pro version features to the app for free and others via in app purchases. This will allow users the ability to only pay for the features they want.
Firstly the cosmetic features:
- country flags on calendar
- new tab bar icons
- new app icon
Now big features:
- Calendar and Maps Pack (via in app purchase)
- Latest race results
- Drivers and Teams listings
All the in app purchases packs will cost $0.99. This new model allows users to choose to pay only for features they want. To get all the features available you can get the pro version of F1™ Mobile for $1.99. We hope to add more paid content in the future and we think this update will help bring F1™ Mobile Lite up to par with other low cost F1™ applications.
We look forward to hearing your feedback on the release, and advise you to update as this provides some of the pro version features for free!
Things have been quiet on the blog for a while, but that is just because we have been extremely busy. Within the next few hours our new game ‘The Frog Puzzle’ will be available on the app store. It is 100% FREE! Before the start of the new football season we will also be releasing Ultimate Football. You can view a video demo of v1.0 here and we will be doing a full blog post on the app and our plans for it tomorrow.
In the coming weeks we will also be releasing 1-2 new games and possibly an entertainment application. More on them closer to their release.
Now on to something we promised a long time ago. We have had an update to F1 Mobile Lite (a massive update) in review with Apple for 9 weeks now. We can’t understand the reasons for this and have been in constant contact with them trying to sort out the issue. They tell us they are working on it now so hopefully we will see that release soon as well. I’m sure all our Lite users will be very satisfied with it.
We will be trying to post more regularly but follow us on twitter @hotrodsoftware to keep up to date.

We are working on the update at the minute and we hope to have it finished and tested by the end of the week. We will keep you informed of progress via twitter.
Please let us know what you think!
It’s been a while since we posted on the website so I though I would just update you on what we’ve been doing. It has been a busy few weeks here. We have just finished development of a new casual/puzzle game which will be coming out after iPhone OS 3.0 is released next week. We have also been working hard on the recently released One Man Band. Updates to it and One Man Band Lite should be coming soon. These updates really increase performance and memory management. We have also dropped the price of One Man Band down to $0.99.
We are also working on updates to F1 Mobile and F1 Mobile Lite. These will come out after the iPhone OS 3.0 release and will include built-in google maps (so you don’t have to leave the application) as well as track maps fixes and bug fixes. We are also looking at squeezing a few other features into this release.
So as you can tell there should be a lot of new/updated stuff coming out in the next few weeks. Follow us on twitter @hotrodsoftware to get the latest and be notified when the apps are on the store.
Over the last few weeks we’ve been really busy testing and prepping One Man Band for release. It is finally ready and once the icon is complete we will submit it to Apple. We hope that they release it sometime next week.
We have also been listening to what F1 Mobile users have been saying and have been working on the next minor update of it. Track maps (the ones which can be viewed offline) are now back! This was the most requested change in this version. We have also tweaked the interface slightly. Aside from bug fixes this will be the last F1 Mobile update until the summer when iPhone OS 3.0 is released. To coincide with that release we aim to have a completely redesigned and re-written version of F1 Mobile ready, just in time for the second half of the season.
We have also begun work on two other new apps. One is a utility/education/reference app which is really useful. The second is a game which we will talk more about in the next few weeks.
As you can see there is a lot of new stuff coming soon so keep checking our twitter page (@hotrodsoftware) and this blog to find out the latest!
